Student Council was started in 2013 with the hope of giving our students more of a voice in our school community.
Student Council members include: President (5th grade), Vice-President (5th grade), Secretary (4th grade), Historian (4th grade), 2 Representatives (3rd grade), and 2 staff members. At our monthly meetings we discuss topics in five areas: Student Life, School Life, Family Involvement, Community Involvement and Fundraising.
Student Life - moral at the school, activities, mentoring in other classrooms, being the voice of our students
School Life - recess concerns, lunch requests, building needs, being the role models of our school
Family Involvement - family night suggestions, ideas on bringing families into our school
Community Involvement - pop-tab collection, religious events, church involvement, prayer partner activities, being a role model in the community
Fundraising - penny war, helping at the Holiday Extravaganza or other school sponsored events, coming up with new and exciting ideas
